Gopher Tortoise Torture Pair Arrested

Many outraged people on social media contacted and showed their passion for the endangered gopher tortoise by contacting Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission on and days after the posting of the gruesome killing video. Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission have arrested the two girls from this incident. Jennifer Emoke Greene, 18, was charged with misdemeanor charge of taking, harassing, harming or killing a gopher tortoise, and felony cruelty to animals. A $55,000 bail has been set for Greene who is now in Clay County jail. As for the 15-year-old girl, she has also been charged with felony cruelty to animals and misdemeanor charge of taking, harassing, harming or killing a gopher tortoise.
