OK, so there’s been a lot going on over here at the site behind the scenes. First of all, we have launched two more sites for those of you who are unaware. We now have The Reptile Living Room which was launched a month or so ago.
My love of reptiles has came from growing up in the Leicestershire countryside and hearing stories of the elusive European adder being spotted on the local country park. The media hyped stories of a poor pet Labrador having to be flown by air ambulance to the nearest hospital holding anti venom. But the sheer lack in numbers of UK native herps probably has had an effect on the hobby from lack of exposure to reptiles and lack of education at a young age.
The term of herpetoculture was one that is associated with someone that we (the writers) have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He is to say the least a very well known and respected man that has been responsible for many of the introductions of new reptile pet species to the United States and abroad.
